Bulk Transport Australia has joined the likes of Titleist & Adams Golf and is proudly sponsoring the Aaron Baddeley International Junior Golf Championship this year.
The Aaron Baddeley International Junior Championship started in 2001. It was a qualifying event at The Heritage Golf and Country Club that hosted the best 90 players from around Australia. It was to form a team to compete against Fiji. The Fiji government asked for 16 players, girls and boys, to play in a competition over 3 days at Denarau Island near Nadi. It was the start of many tournaments to come.
Aaron had a great time in junior golf and wanted to give back to junior golf what it gave him.
Aaron decided to assist junior golfers to help bridge the gap from amateur golf to professional golf. Since the tournament started, Aaron has shared his experience and the path that he has taken with many young players. There is more to professional golf than just hitting a ball and the ABIJC and Aaron continue to help young players on what life is like on the PGA Tour. Travelling, playing in different countries, different cultures, how to work with your caddy, all those parts that make up the life of a touring professional golfer.
*** The ABIJC International Championship is now one of the leading junior championships in the world. Scores from the tournament count to official World Amateur Golf Rankings by the R and A.
