Customs Broker - Dandenong South, Melbourne

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time on-site role for a Customs Broker located in Melbourne, VIC. As a Customs Broker at Bulk Group, you will be responsible for managing customs clearance, including all import/export operations. Your day-to-day tasks will include maintaining compliance with local and international regulations, liaising with government agencies and freight forwarders, and ensuring timely delivery of shipments while optimising value for our clients.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Customs Broker to join our growing business. Newly licensed brokers ready to make their mark in the industry are also encouraged to apply!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for import and export customs declarations and working closely with all relevant authorities for all customs related matters

  • Ensure that customs clearance are achieved within agreed specific customer service standards

  • Liaise with regulatory bodies to develop positive working relationships to ensure compliance

  • Generate, file, and maintain up-to-date customer records, reports, documentation, databases, etc.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current certification as a Licensed Customs Broker in Australia

  • Excellent knowledge of local and international customs regulations, policies, and procedures

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Effective communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines

  • Experience with Cyberfreight and other relevant software is a plus

GM - Global Partnerships  Dandenong South, Melbourne

POSITION DESCRIPTION

As the GM - Global Partnerships, you are responsible for effectively planning, managing, and executing sales, account management & CX strategies.

This is a leadership role responsible for driving sales, business development, partnerships, and key relationships across all stakeholders in the business. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be required to be a results- orientated leader with the vision, energy, and experience to drive high-value sales, important partner relations, and to help drive the overall go-to-market strategy of the business. Deliverables include go-to-market sales strategy, carrier procurement, marketing strategy, and regular reporting on performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate business growth through bringing in new business and expanding revenue in the current client base

  • Collaborate to redefine and launch our go-to-market strategy

  • Mentor and collaborate with our current Account Management staff, including working to refine processes and procedures

  • Build strong relationships with key clients, suppliers and stakeholders

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated ability to attain and exceed sales budgets in the freight forwarding industry

  • At least 5 years experience in a similar role

  • Excellent knowledge of the freight-forwarding industry

Logistics Manager -Gillman, Adelaide

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Join us at Bulk Group, we are an innovative, tech-forward company partnering with global industry leaders, as our new Logistics Manager based in Gillman, SA. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you’ll play a key role in optimising our logistics operations and driving efficiencies across our network. 

In this role, you’ll enjoy a dynamic, people-focused environment that values your expertise and growth. We offer a competitive salary package, convenient onsite parking, and a modern, collaborative workspace that includes both office and warehouse facilities.

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week. 

Salary Band: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year. 

Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday – Friday. 

Work Location: In person

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise freight, warehousing, and logistics operations tailored to client needs.

  • Coordinate end-to-end supply chain activities to ensure seamless delivery of goods from suppliers to final destinations.

  • Analyse and mitigate supply chain risks through forward-thinking strategies.

  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and coordination of all freight movements across various modes of transportation.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including safety and environmental standards.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality.

  • Integrate advanced logistics management systems for optimal operations.

  • Lead and manage the logistics team, ensuring alignment with company goals and strong inter-departmental communication.

  • Act as the primary contact for clients regarding logistics operations, ensuring high satisfaction and resolving challenges.

  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations in all logistics activities.

  • Oversee budgets and conduct cost analyses to identify and implement savings opportunities.

  • Manage relationships with third-party suppliers, negotiating contracts for cost-effective and high-quality services.

  • Ensure effective management of inventory and warehousing operations, maintaining accurate stock levels, and streamlined distribution processes.

  • Implement sustainability initiatives and stay up to date with trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement in logistics operations.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in logistics or supply chain management, with a proven track record of delivering operational efficiencies and meeting performance targets.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading teams, fostering a positive work environment, and driving team performance to achieve business goals.

  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes, including inventory management, distribution, and transportation.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and adapt to dynamic environments.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in liaising with internal teams and external partners to coordinate logistics operations.

  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems, with an ability to leverage technology to improve operational outcomes.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field are preferred.
